Sellen's Purpose is to improve the lives of those around us -- as builders, partners, and neighbors.
Sellen was founded in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood in 1944, when John Sellen’s fledgling company submitted a winning bid to build a naval radio station. Today, we are one of the largest builders in the Pacific Northwest and we regularly partner with the region’s leading organizations and institutions to build incredible spaces of all sizes.
We are driven by our Purpose, which is to improve the lives of those around us — as builders, partners, and neighbors. Sellen’s office remains in South Lake Union and we take great pride in our deep Seattle roots. Together, with our clients and the incredible craftsmanship of our people, we have have played an integral role in the transformation of our region, adding new office and apartment towers to the city’s skyline; building hospital campuses where families receive vital care; partnering with world-class educational institutions; and creating spaces where our region’s arts and culture organizations can thrive.
