Tilt-Up Panels at the Seattle Storm Center for Basketball Performance
The team at the Seattle Storm Center for Basketball Performance successfully completed the “tilt-up” process for the building’s exterior walls. The panels were poured on-site and set with a 500-ton mobile crane in two phases, totaling 76 panels and 25,000 square feet of exterior surface area. The team used low-carbon concrete mix to form the panels, which are designed to meet the latest energy codes.
When the new facility opens in Spring 2024, it will be the first building in the United States dedicated to professional women athletes.
